What is Sigumir?
Sigumir is a low molecular weight cartilage peptide supplement made from young animal cartilage sources. Sigumir may have a tissue-specific action of the DNA of cells to support repair and regeneration. It may help to improve the tropism of the cartilaginous tissue cells.
Sigumir Features
- Oral supplement of peptide complex
- Does not require injection
- Support metabolic processesin the joint cells
- May help to promote and support cartilage tissue function
- Sigumir may help promote and support function in the musculoskeletal system
What is cartilage?
Cartilage is the inelastic tissue that allows for full and easy movement of joints, preventing bones from rubbing together. As we age, cartilage can become weak and ineffective.

Sigumir Studies
Sigumir was studied at the Medical Center of the Saint Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology between November 2005 and February 2006. The study was on 10 patients with osteoarthritis of the joints, 15 patients with osteochondrosis of spine and 8 with osteoporosis. The participants took 1-2 capsules 2-3 times per day for 30-45 days. These participants had restricted movements in their joints and pains. Some of them had weak and atrophied joints. Some had lower back pain and radiating sciatic nerve pain. Among the complaints were also frequent bone fractures.
68.5% of cases with knee joint osteoarthritis had decreased pain levels and increased mobility.
There were similar although slightly fewer improvement scores in those with arthritis.
53.7% of cases showed improvements in pain scores for osteochondrosis of the lumbar spine. The most notable improvement were those of middle age.
Cases of spondylosis and spondylarthrosis also noted improvements in pain scores and had increases in the vertebral column movement ranges.
Cases with osteoporosis showed stabilization of metabolic processes in the bone tissue, fewer fractures, and improvements in musculoskeletal system function. However, these improvements were due to the longer-term use of Sigumir.
Prof. Khavinson concluded:
"The biologically active peptide bioregulator Sigumir promotes normalization of metabolic processes in cartilaginous tissue and slows down its involute changes. Sigumir is well tolerated by patients at oral administration, it does not result in any side effects and can be widely used as a treatment and prophylactic biologically active food additive."
