Picamilone is a synthetic combination of GABA and Niacin (Vitamin B3).
GABA is also known as Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid and is a neurotransmitter made in the body's central nervous system.
Niacin is a B group vitamin and also known as Vitmain B3

Picamilone was originally developed in Russia in 1969 and branded as Pikamilone. It has been the subject of research for its pro-Gaba properties.
The active metabolites of Picamilone are excreted via urine and it has a half-life of 1-2 hours and an elimination half-life of 30 minutes.
